Welcome To My Media Blog
My name is Manisha Dhokia and I am a A-Level Media Studies Student. I am currently studying business and economics, art, english literature and media as my AS level subjects. My hobbies include watching films, playing instruments and watching sports. One of my favourite media products is 'The Avengers' a superhero, action film. I believe this is a successful product as it conventional of its genre, yet has a twist by having comedic elements. I also enjoy playing various video games on the Playstation. The games which include a storyline and a first person narrative are those which I enjoy playing, for example, Uncharted and Assassins Creed. I find these media products interesting as it allows me as the user to control how I want to explore surroundings and learn about new aspects of the game.
I decided to choose Media Studies for A-Level as I find it a truely gripping subject that can be explored through various platforms. Having always been interested in the way in which the media works through technological advancements, such as the use of apps, internet and television, I find it captivating in the way it can be used to produce a vast diversity of media products. I am personally looking forward to the production of the 'Film Opening Sequence' as it allows me to use new methods of creating a professional video, such as the use of specialised software and equipment.
